It all begins from a sketch!

The first signs that are born on the white sheets are always fascinating, though many end up in the bin! I publish here some of my sketches, although there are many others stored on my personal collection. The following galleries are divided in many several categories of drawings: illustration, books, characters, calendar, animals.

BOOKS

SEASON CALENDAR

It is a project for an illustrated calendar that has not been published yet. It is titled THE SEASON OF MY CHILDHOOD, and the seasons are here seen through the eyes of a little girl and her dream world. In the images the main character is always the same girl, who lives intensely on her skin all the sensations that the seasons offer.

ILLUSTRATION

Some sketches come and remain in the drawers their idea not taking shape... some others instead become immediately illustrations and may the starting point for an entire book. Other may develop becoming murals, labels, posters ... and more. But everything… everything comes from a sketch!

CHARACTERS

Characters, faces, new positions, quick drawings. A small gallery of some of the images created in recent years.

ANIMALS

I love to sketch animals, and I often do it. Here there is a little section of sketches that i made to prepare new books or illustrations with animals as main characters!
